Kayak along the quiet, forested shores of Piscataway Bay to Mockley Point, where Piscataway Creek opens into the Potomac River. This is a great route for viewing adult and juvenile bald eagles. This tour provides a wonderful historical perspective of the region, with distant views of Mount Vernon, the Washington Monument, the Capitol Building, and the Fort Washington Light House. Captain John Smith first met the Piscataway Indians here in 1608. It’s easy to imagine what life was like in this area hundreds of years ago!
